Utilizing an agile development process, we are working in two month sprints that allow for consistent progression on defined goals.

Tales of Torin

We are excited to announce our newest project Tales of Torin: Quest to Narcissa

Reclaim the king’s prized sheep! Fight through an epic action-platformer where no two journeys are alike. Navigate the sprawling citadel of the false knight, defeat his fallen vanguard and save the flock in this 2.5D knight’s tale!


What have we been working on?

Design Pipeline

Inspired by games like Ori and the Blind Forest, Dead Cells and Metroid: Samus Returns, Tales of Torin will be developed with 3D characters for a 2D game.

Custom Shader

Utilizing the expansive node tree in blender, we have built a custom shader to best capture our artstyle goals.

Gameplay Goals

Our aim is to deliver an action packed experience with challenging bosses and platforming sequences taking inspiration from the Megaman Zero series.

Player controls

It all starts here, with how you the player interacts with the world we will be building. An emphasis in our design has been placed on creating a snappy player controller that responds well to all your input.


Next Time With Studio Ember…

In our next two month sprint the aim will be to complete the design of our hero Torin as well as lay the ground work for his main animations, and bring him into the game engine.
